Scott Borland, B.Sc., M.Ed., CHRP (Managing Partner), has over 25 years of experience in management, human resources development and organizational effectiveness. He has provided training and consulting services to clients ranging from Fortune 500 firms to smaller entrepreneurial organizations across a variety of industry sectors. Scott brings clear insightful perspective regarding team behaviour and group dynamics in the workplace. This has earned him recognition as a truly perceptive and engaging consultant, facilitator and coach. He is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management and the Organization Development Network.
Mary Colak, B.A., CMC (Business Partner), has over 20 years experience in management and consulting, with outstanding skill in identifying patterns and themes from complex information and data. She has a clear understanding of fundamental business issues, as well as strong people management skills. In the competency area, Ms. Colak has significant experience in both the design and implementation of customized leadership competency models. Her ability to integrate the results of competency analysis into key human resource processes provides significant and sustainable value for the client. Mary is the Vice President and Registrar for the BC Institute of Certified Management Consultants (CMC-BC) and represents BC on CMC-Canada’s National Certification Council. She is also a trustee on the Greater Victoria Public Library Board.
Jo-Anne Hellwig, LS (Business Partner), has worked as an executive assistant with several high profile organizations including ten years with a major national energy company where she worked in sales & marketing, finance and human resources. Jo-Anne has primary responsibility for key aspects of our assessment business including implementation design, customization of materials, assessment distribution and collection, and report generation.
Ross Porter, B.A., M.P.A., (Business Partner), has extensive experience working with executives on matters of organizational direction and alignment. Ross brings strong business acumen, clarity of thought, and grounded, well-informed perspectives to each engagement, enabling clients to make sense of their environment and identify and address their most pressing issues and opportunities. Whether it is developing a strategic plan, conducting an organizational review, or redesigning a business practice or approach, Ross helps senior leaders gain new insights and to turn those insights into intelligent choices and effective action. In addition to his consulting efforts, Ross is chair of the Victoria Quality Council and is a member of the American Society for Quality and the Academy of Management.
